I was wondering if someone would not mind doing me a favor i was looking to see if some one could build a gp40 safety cab i will put some pictures here as soon as i can
Don't worry - the GP40-2Ws are coming, most likely in these roadnames:Kansas City Southern (Repaint by Bill Hemb) Rocky Mountaineer Railtours (Repaint by Harold Clithroe) GO Transit (KLW GO Transit 1980's Mega Pack - this version might take a while!)Here's a photo of it - base model is completed, but I've still got two other locomotives to complete for the pack, and cabviews to be done! Most likely, the KCS and RMR versions will be released first, then the GO Transit one.Take care!Kurt
thanks man i saw a gp40-2w today from guilford rail systems i would like to try to repaint although i don't know how to from scratch i have the programs but still learning
Hmm..CN sold a large number of GP40-2W's and GP40-2LW's to Guilford Rail...If I get around to it, I'll try and see if I can't throw a repainting tutorial together..(although someone like Tim Kent or Bill Hemb would be much more qualified ) I'm an ok reskinner, I just have trouble getting things like stripes and stuff to line up correctly..Especially those that wrap around the entire locomotive...
i was gonna write a detailed painting tutorial, but put it off and honestly, until i read this post, had completely forgotten about it. i will still do it, but it will be a while before its done Hauling America one pixel at a time Bill Hemb train sim repainter, autocad 2002 3d modeler Ah, the country's going down the tubes. It'd be kind of like getting a passing clinic from Brett Farve>Bill Hemb train sim repainter, autocad 2002 3d modeler Quick autocad question -- I support a couple of autocad users where I work. I have a copy of v.14.01 that I have poked around with just enough to be able to understand how it interacts with the OS and our other apps to be able to give these guys support in those areas. (It never ceases to amaze me that these people can turn out absolutely amazing projects with autocad, yet need help creating a shortcut on their desktops.) Does that version of autocad have the tools necessary to create the 3D shapes used in MSTS. If so, I will sit down with the tutorial and teach myself how to do it.Thanks in advance . . .Brad Meyer
looks like i'll be doing that tutorial now since i can't do anything with msts until i go home for thanks giving and get it reinstalled. didn't loose anything, but the redoing of my machine has made msts need to be reinstalled, needless to say, a tutorial will ne done sooner than i thought due to unforseen events of my machine. It will be done tomorrow or within the week. Hauling America one pixel at a time Bill Hemb train sim repainter, 3d modeler Ah, the country's going down the tubes. What Tubes?
