Jul-26-01, 02:34 PM (EST) "3D Canvas Pro Question" Hi!I've got 3DCanvas Pro (4.2 beta) and I've done a model, just a simple one for now to experiment with. When I put it into Train Sim it's coming out 90 degrees rotated to the left - rotating the object prior to saving it isn't helping Any ideas?Matt.

Jul-26-01, 03:19 PM (EST) 1. "RE: 3D Canvas Pro Question" And, after playing for a brief while, I answer my own question:Left click on the object to select it.
Go to the operations tab.
Right click on the SHIFT operation to get the options up.
Put -90 in the Y rotate.
I put -1 in the Y shift, your mileage may vary
Click OK.
Now LEFT click on the same SHIFT operation to add it and your loco will rotate independantly of the axis.I now have an 0-6-0 starting to come live, no wheels, but hey, it's a hover 0-6-0 Atleast it goes forwards and backwards now REALLY enjoying 3DCPro now Matt.

"RE: 3D Canvas Pro Question" Sure, though, remember i'm crappy at 3D Modeling, and this wasn't exactly a lot of work With that in mind, i'm proud(ish) to present my first semi-working loco Message Areas - "3D Canvas Pro Question" – image 1There's no animation on it, it's way out of scale and proportion, the wheels aren't quite on the track but hey, it bloody worked *big smiles*Matt.

Jul-27-01, 03:31 AM (EST) 4. "RE: 3D Canvas Pro Question" Looks excellent. Beating me, I chose this week to have a holiday away from my computer (some holiday) and the new version of 3D Canvas comes out! I hope you are writing down some of the things you have found out, and need to do to make it work, because I would not be the only one grateful for a quick tutorial on the subject,Ian M.
