Jul-25-01, 10:48 AM (EST) "Train Sim Developers" Dear Train Sim Developers,I come to you in hope that I might find some talented, upcoming Train designers who might assist me in a FREEWARE train project. Many people object to having to pay for add ons for a game where freeware add ons can be just as good. I am looking for anyone who can understand and use 3d modeling software to produce a variety of trains for this great new Microsoft realese. To work on this exciting new project you must be willing to work only for the satisfaction of producing high quality trains for which everyone has the right to enjoy. I cannot offer money at this time or anytime.I look forward to hearing from you soon. If you are interested please email me at adam_nardone@hotmail.com or post a reply in the forum. Thanks,Adam Nardone.

Jul-25-01, 11:44 AM (EST) 1. "RE: Train Sim Developers" Can you give us any information on what the project involves? I have very little time to get to the projects I have started on my own, but if something really interesting was proposed, I might be interested in helping out.Cliff Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jul-25-01, 11:57 AM (EST) 2. "RE: Train Sim Developers" I think that if I understand Adam's email properly, he is proposing that we create a resource pool on the development side of things. That way we can work together in creating things for the game and pool our recources in doing so. As opposed to everyone working independently, and often on the same thing. For example if the "Mallard" was going to be built a couple of people could work on it together, each focusing on the area they are most comfortable with. The finished product would then be released as "freeware". I guess it's the same sort of idea as 3dtrains only all of it would be free.
Correct me if I'm wrong here Adam. I for one agree with the idea that two, or three heads are better than one. Especially with all the complexities in the game.James
