Hi ive downloaded the B40-8W LOCO # 514 from the file library and somehow got it into MSTS the only problem is when i try to drive it my computer says it can not find the sms file for that loco. Also it says that it cold not create a cab view so i created my own but cant get it into the cab view file for the loco. And if Danny Beck could help me it would be great since he created the locomotive.

RE: Santa Fe loco # 514

I put that zip together for Goldenpig, I have the cab and sounds aliased to the default dash9. I have had only one other complaint about that happening, even Goldenpig had the same problem (it was fixed after he reinstalled MSTS). I will look into it some more.

RE: Santa Fe loco # 514

The problem is that the sound and cabview files will not automatically be placed in their folders when you unzip the file. Even if "Use folder names" is checked, everything ends up in the engine's root directory.

RE: Santa Fe loco # 514

Hey Brock, I had that same problem. this is what you have to do: when you look in your #514 folder, it has all the files you need in there. You need to create a CABVIEW and SOUND folder for your 514. There will be two files for your sound folder, a dash8cab.sms and a dash8eng.sms file, just drag and drop to the sound folder. And drag and drop the dash9.cvf file to your cabview folder.. This should work for you but now, your cabview will look funny for some reason you'll see what I'm talkin about I just aliased it to my dash9. I hope this will help.
