Thanks to all the engine designers in this forums for the many, many engines they designed in the last year. They are great!Question to them now: Is no one of them willing to design a (fictional) big Ge locomotive. There was a posting at Dec-18-01 about an GE AC7000CW, and also two plans for an AC8000CW and AC10000CW in that thread. No one interested to make them. I think they would be great in the many routes with the severe grades we have now available.Mike
Just make me a Conrail C40-8W, and I'll be happy for a long time.6050-6099: Last units delivered in original Conrail scheme 6100-6149: Conrail Quality 6150-6265: Conrail Quality, with the cab numbers in the same font as that used on units painted by EMD and Conrail 740-759: Conrail Quality, later renumbered 6266-6285 700-739: Leased from GE, Conrail blue with white frame stripes and "LMS" lettering (no logos)
Looks like we never will get something like an AC10000CW (or AC8000CW). I'm sure it would be an enrichment for the game to have some fictual stuff like this ready to run, and with all those great new routes with severe grades, we could use it very well. But obviously no engine designer want's to do some fiction!Mike
It actually might be easy, for users TS Modeler. Just get a AC4400 or whatever, and get another one, hack off the cab of the second one, put it behind the complete AC4400, then put some articulated graphics on it, and then that's your AC10000!P.S. I don't know what an AC4400 is really, I just have an AC whatever that looks kinda like a Dash 9. Just use whatever AC model is close to the AC10000.------------------------------------------------------------I'll never let go of the railroad that inspired me to involved with trains, the Union Pacific!
