DCForum Discussion Forum - A quick question about lighting

I was dabling in modifying locomotive lights, and I noticed something that I thought of as strange.
Looking at the xyz coordinates of the dim and bright settings of almost EVERY locomotive that I have looked at, why are these values different for high and low settings? Shouldn't they be the same because they are in the same position? Also, the reason I have been fooling around with this is because with every locomotive out there, I have strange light clipping problems, where the cone of light will either clip with other lights or it will clip with the model itself......
