I Resent that! I have made the Marc HHP-8, I am working on the amfeet version of MARC, I helped Michael MacFall with the New Haven Genesis, I am Going to help TrirailF40PHL for his Viewliner textures once I get the Texture templates, I asked I could do the MTA/Conndot textures of the comet for NALW but they Michael MacFall will be doing them, I am getting an Amtrack Auto rack car ready and I am trying to get Steven Masons accounts all shut down so he will not bother us. You should be asking him what has he done to help the train-sim community not me! That is what I have done or am doing so let me ask you, What have you done for the Train sim communutiy? Anyway I am just asking how are the comets going, I bet you would have to if you wanted it as much as I do, And don't say "make it your self" because I can't! I can't make the model so don't ask me too, any way it is wrong to steal NALW's project, They deserve to have the honors of relseaseing the cars. They are the best Train sim add-on groupe that I know about, So don't get so angery!-Nhtrain

>I Resent that! >My apologies. Maybe *I* did sound a bit harsh, but YOUR tone in the original message of the thread wasn't exactly polite and patient. To me, it looked like another DEMAND that there are all too many of in these forums. Again, I apologize for MY poor tact.....now the ball is in YOUR court.

>he will not bother us. Instead of the loudmouth yelling at him in the forums like a gorup of users seems to be doing, how about a polite e-mail to Mr. Nels Anderson who owns this board? I think that would bemuch more effective.>You should be asking him
>what has he done to
>help the train-sim community not
>me! Already did, once, politely. No reply. So I don't go off on a tangent, yelling, continuing to reply to his empty posts. I just ignore him. If only everyone else would...and then write that polite e-mail to Mr. Andersen.
>That is what I
>have done or am doing

>What have you done for
>the Train sim communutiy? Unfortunately, I admit I have not done anything...because I do not know how, just as you admitted above. And I HAVE asked where to start, as I CERTAINLY would get on the stick doing something, but NOBODY wants to answer with which programs to use, and where to start. I have offered some creators the technical information as well as photographs of the equipment they were seeking to construct. Again, NO reply.I guess if you are not in the "clique" around here, you don't count, no matter what you WANT TO HELP with.
>Anyway
>I am just asking how
>are the comets going, I
>bet you would have to
>if you wanted it as
>much as I do, Not really....if it comes out, it comes out. If not, I won't lose no sleep over it. I can be quite patient, and I realize that these projects take time, and the folks doing them are doing them more as a labor of love than anything else and they have jobs, families, etc. that need to come first. I honestly don't know where they have the time to do the fantastic creations they have shared with all of us -- and still have time for job, family, other recreation etc. Heck, I work eight hours a day driving a transit bus, have only the wife and two cats at home, and just housekeeping etc. doesn't leave me time for much else. Seems like there's less time as we age (I'm 51 now....) >And

>can't make the model so
>don't ask me too, any

>steal NALW's project, That is something I would NEVER say, considering the fact that *I* don't know how to do this sort of stuff yet either. I think it would downright rude to tell someone that.>They deserve

>So don't get so angery! I'm not angry...but I am NOT being IMPATIENT, either.
I read what's been said about the cars on their website, says something to the effect that they won't be out until LATE MAY the earliest. That means, to me, somewhere in the two-digit dates, the ones that start with a 2. And even if they don't come out until May of 2004, I'm not going to worry, not even going to ask about them. When they come out, as I said above, they come out.But anyhow, I apologize if *I* sounded harsh....perhaps you could have worded your original post in this thread a tad differently, it wouldn't have sparked me. Sorry.Oh -- and as long as you're interested in the NH -- drop me an e-mail and I'll send ya some photos of my N-scale handiwork. I'm sure you will enjoy it.Steve

May-05-02, 10:42 PM (EDT) 7. "RE: Hey NALW! Where is the Comet?" Steve, if you want to try your hand at repainting locos and rolling stock then TGATool2 is a must you can get it here http://fly.to/mwgfx You will also need a good paint program like Paint Shop Pro or Photo Shop. If you want to try your hand at building models two reasonably priced pieces of software are available, 3D Canvas (the more powerful of the two) and Train Sim Modeler.MKT1972

May-05-02, 11:15 PM (EDT) 8. "RE: Hey NALW! Where is the Comet?" 3D Canvas' website is www.amabilis.com - i have been using it for nearly a year now, as it is extremely powerful and the learning curve isn't too steep. TSM is simpler to learn, from what i understand, but isn't as powerful as 3D Canvas.------ BUZZ ------

He also is planning a Metro North commuter route for MSTS. His MARC HHP8 is SUPERB, and his New Haven sign ROCKS!!! Also, Steven Mason is the biggest troll known to mankind. I'll wait for this as long as it takes, but I would like to see AT LEAST some screenshots to tell us how far along it is. Same goes for the FL9.John Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

You heard from Buzz the principle modeler on the project. I hope that holds you for a while?------Chuck Schneider---------
