Don't forget that the Acela's are French Highspeed trains. I believe Thalys but it can be TGV. So the Amtrak is in fact European too. To give more clarification, here is the list from Justtrain:

I think you mistook the "Duplex" TGV (second picture in the left column in Ronald's original post) for the U.S. Acela Express...they do resemble each other somewhat, I admit.
