LAST EDITED ON May-03-02 AT 05:39 AM (EDT)LAST EDITED ON May-03-02 AT 05:36 AM (EDT)Here is my version of an 89FT tankcar it does not comply with real world units and has limited lettering....3d trucks are standard and the ZIP includes the following paint schemes...I have a problem with the wheels flashing and am holding off uploading the units till I get this figured out....I have forgotten what it takes to fix this particular problem.Anyone familiar with the flashing please send my a message of how you fixed it. Meanwhile I will plink away at the problem myself to see if I can solve it.I am also trying to place more appropriate text on the unit to make it more real world....numbering and railroad lettering of real world units...if I can find any and it will work with the texture mapping I did.This unit stands 16.5ft tall from top of rail to top of handrail. And has many details around the ends and ladders.
It has also been tested for coupling with the F7A of 3D trains and takes the 45 degree yard curves without problems, so far.Comments or suggestions for improvements to this model are welcomed....some of the improvements would be different trucks and improved paint and lettering....let me know.Later....PS. look for it in a week as SuperT.ZIPRick Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

May-03-02, 07:44 AM (EDT) 1. "RE: New Super Tanker Tankcar....." Nice model, Rick - one suggestion would be to reduce the "stretch" of the front-to-rear image, as it give too much of a sqeezed look to the logos. Other than that, an excellent addition to any heavy industry! Cheers!

I had this same problem when building the wagon tutorial.
