Apr-30-02, 10:18 AM (EDT) 1. "RE: Has the HHp-8 ever pull any other pass cars besides" Not that I have ever seen and I'm about a mile away from Union Station in Washington DC. I thought the MARC repaint of the HHP was kind of funny as a result because the HHP is an Amtrak engine and MARC is the Maryland Mass Transportation Authorities commuter railroad...they have no arrangements for sharing either engines or rolling stock on a regular basis...or any other basis for that matter...gokeefe Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I made the textures and Michael MacFall made the logos, numbers and smoothed the textures. It is a nice train, don't you think? I worked hard on it. By the end of the week I will send Michael some HHP-8s with new numbers and with Marc amfleet cars until NALW comes out the Horizon and Comet. Oh, I might warn you guy's, HHP is Amtrak12 (the "NEC 3.0" joke and now a "New York Route") unless they have the same name and put up post with the subject always ending with the actual post. Hey!, NALW, when will the comet and Horizon be out? Also where is Big Boy? I need a good train for Sea View( witch is abosolute nonesense!) We need a real Marc commuter car for me to repaint for the Marc HHp-8 version 3.0! Also I might do a Marc F7.-Nhtrain

"RE: Has the HHp-8 ever pull any other pass cars besides" Too be honest I haven't had a chance to install the MARC HHP yet, however, I will write back when I do...which should be shortly...I am very interested in your idea to do the other MARC rolling stock especially their passenger cars, they seem very unusual and I have never heard of where they came from, they look as if they might have some kind of interesting heritage...I'm talking about their single level cars and not the bi-level ones (if memory serves me well those were ordered new)...furthermore as far as an F7 goes that sounds great...I don't know if you're aware of this but the one photo I've seen of the MARC F7 had a different livery (old Maryland Department of Transportation logo...the thing with the arrows that used to show up on the driver's license)...I'd be happy to post that photo and a bunch of others or at least just provide the URL info...gokeefeps. as far as the 'troll' goes I did my homework on him including an author name search in all forums for a year with an archived search and turned up some interesting results, to say the least...I remember getting duped by the NEC 3.0 scam and a few others...I guess I just wasn't looking for that at the time...I can't understand why anyone, adolescent or not, would care to spend the time to disrupt the forums like that...well I guess that's enough for now... They are designed for commuter service, and not much else. After riding these things from STL-CUS, I spend the extra $$$ to sit in business class. "RE: Has the HHp-8 ever pull any other pass cars besides" ok I got the MARC HHP-8 and I would have to say that's it's quite nice...congratulations on an excellant model using a horrible template (those poor kids at Kuju)...there were some issues with the cabview but I suspect that's a problem with my graphics settings and not your design...however the blue on the top seemed bright as compared to the blue MARC lettering on the side...otherwise I have nothing else to say other than bring on the MARC passenger cars...Penn Line here I come...Thanks for the great model...George O'Keefe Jr.
