About time we had more British trains here.Message Areas - "BR Class 47" – image 1 Message Areas - "BR Class 47" – image 2 Message Areas - "BR Class 47" – image 3 Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jul-16-01, 03:36 AM (EST) 1. "RE: BR Class 47" I agree, I have been beta playing - oops, I mean testing - and it really looks the part. Tim still has a fair bit to do to it, like replacing that awful Dash 9 hooter with proper horns and fitting it with air brakes as well as vacuum, but the rate he is proceeding with it so far, it should not be much longer to wait. Hopefully there will be some matching Mk1 passenger stock to compliment it coming soon too.Ian M.(http://www.trainsimfiles.com) Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jul-17-01, 08:01 AM (EST) 4. "RE: BR Class 47" Hi guys,
Just wondering how I repaint the 47, because in the readme files it says its not worth it, but i think it is! How do i get the tgas/bmps, coz I emailed tim,a nd got no response. If your reading this tim, will you pop off an email to Horgy@Hotmail.com explaining things?Cheers, Horgy

Jul-17-01, 08:07 AM (EST) 5. "RE: BR Class 47" The reason he says it's not worth it is because at the moment the image files are based on corner-angled photo's that have been pasted on to the 3D model manually, rather than conventional top/front/back/sides that you are used to.Rest assured that once the 47 is finished he will be making the textures available (or atleast I assume so ) and they will be in a suitable form for repainting.... Right now, they'd be next to impossible to change without taking photo's in exactly the same angles he used for his current skins.Matt.

Jul-17-01, 06:43 PM (EST) 9. "RE: BR Class 47" I don't have one yet, but i'm working on putting together a UK repainting site (downloads, tutorials, advice etc) at http://trainsim.atomic-systems.comMeantime, any files I do will be available on www.train-sim.com and probably also http://www.trainsimfiles.com (more down to Tim's time and availability to put files on his site and if he chooses to put them on there than anything else, he is ofcourse (as is anyone) more than welcome to put my files on his site for download ).Matt.

Jul-26-01, 02:32 PM (EST) 12. "RE: BR Class 47" The new engine is SUPER! But I have a problem with the original coaches and the new one's Matt repainted. They all seem to be not connected to each other, but the all seem to follow the engine!
Anyone have a fix for this? Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
