Apr-17-02, 01:00 PM (EST) "Oddball Intermodal Car From Us Crazy Canucks" Hi Folks,I took a couple hour break and modelled this goofy looking intermodal car:This car was manufactured by EMD (yes, the locomotive company) for CP Rail. CPR wanted a way of unloading the trailer cars in under two minutes. This design was the pioneer of intermodal traffic, and was known as the "Portager".EMD built ten of these cars, but in the end the CP brass nixed the idea.
