Apr-06-02, 11:39 PM (EST) "New loco, but what is it?" Hello, again, I'm tajing a break from the T-1 for the weekend, and I'm starting on this loco,
Problem though, I have this in N-scale, but I don't know What it is exactly, I think it is german, and it is an eletric, only one pant. on the roof. it looks great running with some short passenger cars. anyone know what it is? the real loco is a arnold loco, and it was made in the mid to late 90's I think.
any help is greatly accepted!
thanks,

Ermmmm Yeah! This looks like half a "Crocodile" Or "Krokodil" to be more accurate. Arnold model Number: 2465. I don't know if there is a real life counterpart to the cut down version but it does look distincly like half of the full Crocodile. I guess there could well be. I'm at my cousins house right now and he just happens to have one of these pieces of articulated wierdness, see below.
It would look good if you did it with the coaches!Best Regards,
Julian (Fozzy The Bear)P.S. Nice model so far!! Would look absolutely perfect on that Albula Line route! I'd like it, deff worth doing.

Apr-07-02, 11:59 AM (EST) 9. "RE: New loco, but what is it?" Hi,Green can be. I found a website where was stated that these engines have run local trains in Bayern, Germany. And green is a colour for locomotives on main tracks.
Red is a colour that is used on diesel locomotives and switchers.Dick van den Hoven

Apr-07-02, 05:45 AM (EST) 3. "RE: New loco, but what is it?" There already is a full Croc. for MSTS. (SBB Be6/8 I)Its avaliable on some of the Euro MSTS sites.see: http://www.eurotrainsim.de/frameset_01.htm
The mini-croc looks quite good though (and yes - make the coaches)

This modell is a switcher. Here is another picture, an E60:
Austria and Switzerland have used simular switcher modells too. I have seen them in action.Dick van den Hoven
