LAST EDITED ON Apr-04-02 AT 00:32 AM (EST)Well it's a little drawn out but here goes...I uploaded the Phase IV repaint of the Metroliner cars here a while back. What I did to have both sets was to create a new folder in the Trainset folder. Name it whatever you like, then copy the files Metroliner.s and metroliner.sd into whatever folder ffedit_unicode resides. with ffedit decompile the .s file and with Wordpad search for .ace ,It shouldn't take long, there you'll see the ace files the shape uses. Mine said metrocarriage.ace was the main image so i changed the name to Phase4.ace, saved the file, and compressed it with ffedit overwriting the original file. Once that's done it's real simple,just rename the .s file to something like metrocarriage4.s, open the .sd file and change the .s file reference to the same name as your .s file and save. all that's left is to rename the .ace file itself to what you named it in the .s file. Once you've done that just place your new .s, .sd, and .ace files in the folder you created earlier, create a consist and have fun.It's quite a process to describe but it's actually quite easy with practice.
