Mar-29-02, 06:00 PM (EST) "GE 44 Ton Update" Hi Everybody!Anyway, I have started to texture the 44 tonner. This is going very slowly!I am going to try and do this so that it is very simple to repaint, currently there are 3 different sections of the texture for handrails. I have done the textures so that you can write on the sides of the catwalk, and the sides of the fuel tank covers (steel plates between the trucks). Both of these are mapped spearatly so that you can have different colors for each and alpha out the tank covers. There is a large sunshade above the windows, these can also be alphad out, as can the square radiator covers below the headlights. Here is a picture of the 2 prototypes:Message Areas - "GE 44 Ton Update" – image 1and my favorite:Message Areas - "GE 44 Ton Update" – image 2Both of these pictures came from: http://www.dnaco.net/~gelwood/Take care,Message Areas - "GE 44 Ton Update" – image 3 Message Areas - "GE 44 Ton Update" – image 4

Mar-29-02, 07:22 PM (EST) 1. "RE: GE 44 Ton Update" Thank you for making the retexturing easy. I'd like to do one as the exLIRR unit we used on the VRR. This one will be a real treat. -Phil Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Mar-31-02, 02:17 PM (EST) 3. "RE: GE 44 Ton Update" Hi Enocell,Didn't notice the difference until you pointed it out! Currently the model is exacly the same as the first Cargill unit pictured. I guess I will make you a separate model that more closely resembles the HBS units! I think that there would be too many invisible polygons if I was to make one universal model, and enable you to alpha out the parts that don't work...Diesel IndustriesMessage Areas - "GE 44 Ton Update" – image 5 Message Areas - "GE 44 Ton Update" – image 6
