Mar-28-02, 02:54 AM (EST) "Re: Forum Use" Since am a "newcomer", is it the 'norm' on this forum to publicly embarass and humiliate, other's within this finite community of train enthusiates and modelers? I am just courious. Especially, when one apologizes for their transgression or preceived transgression(s) within this community. Is it the 'norm' to then trash an individual pubilicly, when they've "apologized", to the offended party(ies), either publicly or privately, or both. I perceive, a certain amount of junvenilism, within the 'rank-n-file' on this forum. It's truly a great site, to discuss and exchange information regarding the design, applications, or offering assistance to those of us, that are just 'joining', the train sim community. But is it truly the place, to embarass or humiliate. a 'fellow' designer... I am curious. And think one's time could be spent in better endeavor's, or am I off-base, here. An up-n-coming-designer... "RE: Re: Forum Use" things have happened recently where some opinions have got out of hand and a few people have decided to shut up shop (and I must say that these are people who did some excelent work and will be sorely missed) but on the whole the comunity is accomodating, helpful and welcoming its just the odd bad apple that spoils it. But let me be the first one to extend a warm hand of welcome and hope your time spent here is fruitful. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Mar-28-02, 01:50 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Re: Forum Use" I think you'll see, over time, that generally there's a fair amount of good information exchange. The biggest problem though is wading through the rest of the nonsense and useless posts that seem to accompany the good stuff. Quite often some members will seemingly post for it's own sake. And then there are those who know everything about nothing and feel that their opinion is the only one that matters, all others need not apply. Juvenile behaviour and 'knee jerk' replies will always be a part of this forum as it is other forums in other subjects. Just ignore them and only read the good things. Stew
