FWIW the part of the FILE_ID.DIZ that states that pack1 is required inorder to use pack2 and pack3 did not make it up into the listing....
FYI....
Rough Contents of the Pack(s)Pack 1 is the Sounds and cabview files for all packs and the two 800 series skins (P40) or two drivable enginesPack 2 is the P42 Amtrak skins only! 2 road numbers each of phase III IV and V or 6 Drivable EnginesPack 3 is the P32acDM 2 each of ConDOT/NH, Metro North and Amtrak 700 series of Road Numbers. There is also an "3rd Rail Mode" Physics file for each of the above which effectively makes the number of drivable engines in this pack as 12.Opt Pack will convert the horrid MS/KUJU default genesis visual model into an accurate P32acDM Amtrak 700 series (which is what 705 is - so in real life you would never see it on Marias). the physics and lights are improved so you can use it as a A/I engine or a Helper/2nd unit in a lashup... It does not convert the 705 to a drivable locomotive. This PAK is stand alone. ------Chuck Schneider---------

We have had a ton of trouble getting a good( Read Uncorrupted) upload of it to Train-Sim. We have been trying to get it there since Saturday. Nels assured me last night that the latest try was successfull and should be on today's, Thusday's, download list!------Chuck Schneider---------

You can not have a real accident with cars or animals in this version of MSTS. It is intended by the simulation, that the designer of a track can set the probability (in %) of cars crossing a closed levelcrossing or a crossing with an approaching train. It is up to you to lower your speed and give the appropriate horn signal. But like in real live that does not influence the behaviour of some involuntary organ donors.Trevithick

"RE: Genesis packs 1 and 2" I downloAd Pack 1 and Pack 2 and everything works as far as the Amtrak choices.I also downloaded Pack 3, and when I unpack it to a separate directory, the folder then says Pack 2 -- and none of the VIA,M-N, NH/CDOT stuff comes out. "RE: Genesis packs 1 and 2" Yep, must have been a bad download...I redid it, and everything worked fine.Thank you very much for the quick reply -- and even more thanks for your efforts that went into the P32AC-DM's. They are outstanding!I am still having the engine sound problem on the Genesis (and the Alco PA)'s whereby the engines sound like they are buzzing -- yet, the NALW F40 sounds are perfect. Cannot figure what the problem seems to be -- I did check the bit rates and compare them to other sound folders, and everything matches up there.
