Mar-26-02, 03:29 AM (EST) "Penssy MP54 98% Complete: 2 Update Pics" The car just recieved a fresh coat of paint and is curently undergoing testing (Lighting and Physics). The pantographs are animated and the journals spin. There is one paint scheme now, the PRR pre 1954. Post 1954 and Baby S**T Green Penn Central will done. Below is a screenshot of a 3 car consist leaving 30th Street and side shot. If testing runs as scheduled, release for upload should be very soon.Joe

I was going to release one of these, but I might as well make one powered as the LIRR used these in a 3rail version. The non panto version might be released in the first version. If not, it will be released when I make the full baggage and combine MP54's. I might work on a grey paint scheme also. I need some ref pics for the LIRR paint. You just named everything on my wish list in this area. Just returned from Boston where I took an opportunity to ride the "T" Riverside line from end to end and back again. I have to say that I love those "Type 7" streetcars. When I saw them in operation the feeling was like seeing a roller-coaster when you were a kid. Somehow they gave you that feeling, and oh the sounds of screeching and track brakes on the Lionel-like curves. The yard at the end of the line was filled with Kinki Sharyo (the builder)Type-7's, and other trolleys from Boeing-vertol and Breda of Italy. You would have loved seeing them also. Matt Harter, a 3D master and teacher from Boston has made some wonderful digital models of these cars and is promising to bring them into MSTS, so stay tuned. I rode those MP54s from South Amboy, New Jersey to Newark.
Ialso rode the the commuter trains with Pennsy K-4 on point.
At South Amboy The electrification Started And a GG-1 was cut in. I await your uploading.

"RE: Penssy MP54 98% Complete: 2 Update Pics" The animated journals originaly mentioned are the circular hubs aligned and centered with the wheels on the outside of the sideframe(In the bottom screenshot you can see them. They are the cirlces with the two little circles in them). Like the prototype, they spin with the roatation of the wheels.Yes the windows will be transparent. I'm currently working on some of the interior views that you can see in from outside. The Cab/vestibule area is going well, the passenger compartment will be a challenge.And for the different versions and paint. Because of the request on this thread, I made two non panto versions. One is powered,to simulate third rail, and one is an unpowered trailer. Hopefullythe LIRR gray scheme can be finished soon, I'm almost done the textures and when finished, I will post the pics of the LIRR version for advice and correctness. I looked at the above web site for the LIRR MP54's and the yellow end version looks really different. I didn't know there were so many different versions on the LIRR, some even have different windows.
