May-05-01, 06:21 PM (EST) "UK Locos comming soon!" Hi; I'm Mik - A Rail Addit in the heart of yours truely London - United Kingdom. Just a quick word to all the UK Train Addits - I will be starting work on a full set of Britsh Rail Locos. I'm not going to do Steam but start with the deisel class 47 and carrages.I will hope to end finishing on the Electric and the DMU Units.I will intialy realase them as free; so that I can gain feed back from the users. Once in say 2003 I will then release as a CD Rom product and Downloadable product for new users. This will then allow me to 'fund' my trips to each UK Station which I hope to start in 2003 if its not done already. So as soon as I take delivery of Trainsim I will start to transfer the Technical Drawings of the Locos to design.I know this is going to be a massive project. By the way....a good place for technical drawings for the GWR engines, carriages and other rolling stock

Glad to hear from you, but Tim at www.trainsimfiles.com has already released a Class 47 and it seems to be a waste to duplicate effort when there are so many classes that need to be built. I know that Tim is doing the Class 33 next, and a Class 50 is on the way by someone else. What we need is a way that people can check what others are doing, and declare their intentions so others will not duplicate their efforts. Tim has set up some forums on his site for members, and one of those is being used for just such a purpose.Tim has been having having problems with the amount of downloads from his site, but this is being resolved.Ian M.

If anyone is planning to model and trains, routes, VR's or whatever, as long as its from the UK then please go to http://www.slipdigby.co.uk/avrouk and stake your claim This way, instead of people building 3 of the same locomotive for example, people can work together on projects. This is obiously better for the community as a whole, and should hopefully help us all see the trains and routes which we want sooner.Thanks for your time
