Mar-16-02, 01:32 PM (EST) 3. "RE: My Latest Loco" I belive they were class P2, but it's been a while. They were the only 2-8-2 passenger locomotives built in Britain (never a popular wheel arangement in the UK), for more demanding lines in Scotland. In the second world war they were rebuilt as pacifics. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Mar-17-02, 06:22 PM (EST) 6. "RE: My Latest Loco" Just an updateThis one should be a bit better than the A4s as I have now after learning 3D modelling during the last 5 mths started to make an effort to reduce polys so as it stands the P2 is at 4900 which is good for me.

Mar-18-02, 03:42 AM (EST) 8. "RE: My Latest Loco" Is there any chance that we will see you create the first 2 of the B17 class with streamlining? Why the LNER specifically, and is there any chance of you creating some of the Australian streamliners (like the VR S and SAR 520)? Mar-18-02, 05:59 PM (EST) 10. "RE: My Latest Loco" blue520I just like the streamliners that the LNER made and in general British built locos , no offence to American locos but most seem ugly lots of pipes and stuff going every where but having said that there pulling power, and lets face it thats what they were built for is impressive the big boy is one awsome locomotive And you do have some very nice streamliners but none ever reached 126mph . And funny you ask about Australian locos having been born and breed in Australia and living in the very state 520 runs in I have never had a fondness for Australian locos but that doesnt mean I woudnt be willing to create any, I have riden on SteamRanger and am always in awe around working Steam Locomotives. Doing Steamranger wouldnt be all that bad an Idea, theres not a lot of Australian stuff out in the MSTS and a little more couldnt hurt. If anyone has any drawings of this class and are willing to email me let me Know. Oh yeah I do intend to do the two streamlined B17s.Peter Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I don't know if it's any use to you but I can send you a high res version of it if you want ??? This one had rotary poppet valve gear on it too. real easy to model.I think we may also have some engineering drawings for it somewhere.... I'd have to root through the archive for you if you want them. I'm not sure what we have at the moment. Mail me if you want any of it.Message Areas - "My Latest Loco" – image 3Best Regards,
