Mar-11-02, 07:26 PM (EST) "Eng wizards, think this is possible?" I've been playing with the s2 a bit monkeying with the sound which is currently a deafening roar (gotta find something that's less white noise and quieter which, I think I have...but that's not the point)Do you think it'd be possible to create an ENG file for the s2 that combines the best of steam and diesel...IE: No cutoff, air brakes, and a combined throttle like with the dash nine.I've tried using the Dash 9 eng, and that won't work...and I've played with the other files some...but no progress; so I ask y'all. What do you think might work? Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

The problem you face with this one is the fact that MSTS uses and provides different sound hooks for each type of locomotive it supports. All I can say is, try it and let us know the results you get.You might be better off posting this in the sound forum?? Some of the sound Guru's out ther may well be able to help.Best Regards,

The .eng file just references the .sms file(s) that your loco uses to create the cabview, external, and passenger sounds. I also think it's best to post this in the sound forum.
