PLease don't pull out of the community!!! We have lost so many already to just such nonsense, and people who DELIBERATELY try to stir up the pot by making STUPID, REDICULOUS, MORONIC comments!!!
I agree that I have seen alot of the good people drop out of the sim community because of the attacks. But I have my own ideas as to some of the people who do it.
There has been a growing number of new people to replace us "old timers" lately, and some are ones you find in EVERY single group or organization a person belons to. They're called TROUBLEMAKERS. I could name names, or venture my opinions, but thats not what this is for.
I have noticed that alot of times people change their identity before they blast someone. This right there is a great sign of their intentions. Start trouble, then leave.
I am in the people who donated, this is true!!! BUT.....I was one who WAITED PAITENTLY for the releases up to a little while ago. I was not in a position to donate, as life issues kept me from doing so. But when I could, I did. Not for Trains, or free stuff, BUT BECAUSE I AM A AMERICAN AND I CARE ABOUT THOSE FAMILIES FROM 9/11!!!
This is just my take on the whole thing, and my opinions. But I belong to several organizations, and we ALL have the same people who cause trouble, or who want something for nothing---NOW!!! (These usually are the same ones who contribute absolutely NOTHING!!!)
The heart of the sim community are a great bunch, and I have made many new friends. Some of you from TA are a part of that group, even if I just chatted with you once. In reality, there will ALWAYS AND FOREVER be people who think they are special, and should get the gravy train all their life. But they are the minority, NOT the majority....alas, my boss once told me something that is soooooooo true.....do a good job, and you never hear about it or usually get a thank you...Do a BAD job and EVERYONE hears about it and makes comments. Same thing, only different text applies here. (In NO way do I mean you did a bad job, talkin about the donators VS. non-donators)SO in conclusion guys, from a BIG TA fan, and a friend...I DESPERATELY URGE YOU NOT TO LEAVE OR STOP YOUR WORK!!! I know it is a royal bitch to come home from a hard day, to work on a labor of love, then have *^%$%@*^^'S jump your a$$ about gimmie gimmie gimmie!! But shrug them off and look at it for those of us who care enough to say whenever you get it done is fine!!I hope others will join in my feelings, but if not, at least you know where I stand!!! AND THE NEW STUFF IS KILLER!!!!! It IS worth the wait!!!!!AND DAMN WELL WORTH THE DONATION!!!

It isn't the easiest thing I've ever tried to do.The biggest thing I have learned, is how much I really appreciate and admire those developers who put out these fantastic models. Of course TA is one of if not the best out there.Wether I have to wait or not is a secondary issue to my admiration and appreciation of their work. I can't make my stuff half as good as they do theirs.Also, I admire the Trainartisan members professionalism. I read the thread with all of those ungrateful rude messages. The TA folks took offense to those comments, who wouldn't, yet replied as proffesionals.I would probably have replied with language that would have gotten me booted off the forum.So to the members of the Trainartisan team, I will always admire your talent and proffesionalism. I truely thank you for the wonderful gifts you have given to this community, and I will support you folks regardless your decision.Thanks,

TA, Please PLEASE don't leave us! you all are god-like train designers and you creations are like the holy grail of MSTS. And on top of all of that your an inspeation to everyone, I wouldn't have tackeled the S-2 If I had not known the artistic genius that is everything that you put out. and I used your ESE tender for the inital tests for the S-2 before I made the tender that is currently with the set.
once again I'd like to thanks you, and ask that you stay with us and ingore the ingnorance of certant members of this forum.

Sometime before the official release of MSTS, I hooked up with a guy to form a group of people to produce accurate and interesting motive power and rolling stock. Both of us had come from other branches of the sim community.Long story, short, after attacks in this forum, I accepted some outside contract work with relief, and dropped out of rail simming until a couple of weeks ago. I reloaded MSTS on my machine and was encouraged by the work that had been done during my hiatus. So, I started to do a little modeling and got interested again. Until now.The Boo Birds and Gimmee Pigs are just too much... I'm starting back on round two of the contract work. And, like last time, I'm deleting MSTS and all the modeling tools and utilities. They won't be going back on the drive. The guys at TA and the other real producers of content for the sim have more patience than I do. Best of luck. Remember the old story about the parts of the body arguing about who was the most important? Recall that it was the asshole who quit work and nearly poisoned the whole body? Also, remember the morale of the story. You don't have to be a brain or have a heart or work together to be "important". All you have to be is an asshole. I agree with Kelley, we have lost too many talented designers...If it wasn't for TA's excellent locomtive design tutorials, I don't know where I would be... Probably still trying to figure out the Dummy Nodes error . TA and its crew have created, in my opinion, some of the best locomotives for the game!! Although I haven't donated to any of the organizations (college is expensive).
