Mar-10-02, 01:13 PM (EST) 1. "RE: My Locomotive project" Right on brother! It's about time somebody took on the project of creating some Alco centries. Just be aware of the number on that locomotive. CP locomotives that start with the number 11 no longer have running engines and are used as control cars. Good luck. Dave Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Mar-10-02, 02:21 PM (EST) 2. "RE: My Locomotive project" A control cab would be cool in MSTS. I think there was one, probably CSX.Enocell Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Mar-10-02, 06:04 PM (EST) 3. "RE: My Locomotive project" Hey there, want a picture of a recently retired 4200 series? It's a rear end detail. Most people don't shoot that, so it can be hard for modellers/
I was at the National Musuem in Montreal recently and snapped a pic or two..By the way. Thanks for making the effort!!!!-Christian Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Mar-11-02, 03:27 AM (EST) 5. "RE: My Locomotive project" Hi,What is a cab control unit? Is it just like a big remote control, with the cab control unit being the radio thing-a-ma-jig, with all the levers (that you drive your R/C care with), and the following locomotives like the R/C car?Take care,Message Areas - "My Locomotive project" – image 2 Message Areas - "My Locomotive project" – image 3

Mar-11-02, 08:54 PM (EST) 7. "RE: My Locomotive project" jeez... everything in that picture is so clean... and it's all cp stuff too... that's a pretty long train for just two locomotives to haul - i'm wondering if that was some sort of publicity shot or something. anyhow, i'll be looking forward to the loco though!DW Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Mar-11-02, 10:09 PM (EST) 8. "RE: My Locomotive project" A not on the photo of that particluar engine. I believe(and I'm not the biggest CP fan out there) that CPR de-engined some of their C424's and used them just as control units. These units were re-numbered in the 11XX series, so what you have there doesn't have a primemover.

Mar-11-02, 10:39 PM (EST) 9. "RE: My Locomotive project" Yeah, this must be a publicity photo from when they released the Multi Mark (Pacman) paint scheme, in 1968 I believe. The C424's, as far as I know, never operated out west. The bigger 6 axle MLW/Alco's did, until they were displaced by the SD40-2's.Marc Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
