Mar-03-02, 06:12 PM (EST) "Well Car......" Hello All,Well someone a long, long time ago asked me to make a well car for them. Well as I'm not as young as I used to be, and after a computer change, and too many months away TS, I found this half finished car. Well I finished the base model and it's off to the paint shop now, so if you remember discussing this little project give me a holler as it's almost finished.
Best,Roger

Mar-03-02, 11:09 PM (EST) 4. "RE: Well Car......" Hello SD80MAC,Well right now there setup as stand-alone. I could look into also doing "articulated" but that may pose a problem. I would have to use the "Chain" type coupler and that would not work with US rolling stock very well. Hmmmmmmmmm or may could I just model one end car with a standard coupler and then have another car with a draw bar Hmmmm might work. Which are you looking for?Best,Roger

Mar-04-02, 05:33 PM (EST) 9. "RE: Well Car......" Roger...I was hoping that you would do the stand-alone's .What version of the sms file do you plan on using? The reason i ask is because the Generalfreight wag3 sound is quite annoying.Or the wag2 is just as anoying.May i sudjest using the "sound" from Patrick camaro's Autoracks?Of course you would have to get his permission first, but his wag file sounds closer to the sound of the well car than the standard MSTS sms file.I hope you make the .s,.sd,.wag files easy to "edit".Are you cars going to be released as a "Packaged" set?...or individually?Thanks...can't wait! Mar-05-02, 11:47 AM (EST) 10. "RE: Well Car......" Hello SD80MAC,I’ll have to check into sms file situation here shortly as the car is moving thru the paint shop at a fairly good clip. I might even have the base car painted tonight. As far as releasing the car, I will release it in a package (as I did with the coal cars.) I’m only going to paint the car in the DTTX scheme and I’ll add some generic boxes to it. I’m planning on doing a few box configurations with 20’ 40’ & 48’ containers. Any other ideas will be gladly considered!
Best,Roger

Mar-04-02, 12:50 PM (EST) 8. "RE: Well Car......" Hello Jens-Chris,First off Thanks on the car The Challenger.......... Oh the Joy! I still have an animation problem with two of my rods. Have you noticed that if you exceed a certain number of rods they no longer work? I've been away for TS for a spell now and I'm lagging behind on current find/problems. I was here in the beginning of these wonderful journeys of knowledge when Max was king, but I'm sure there have been new discoveries since I was last active in this community. Sure wish I could find out what they might be....Best,Roger
