>fans on your locos ???? Yes it is possible.>If so HOW ??? You have to create them as a separate object and animate that object as if it were a piece of steam locomotive valve gear... That way when your train runs forward the fan will rotate. Try looking at the tutorials on the Amabilis web site that detail animation for MSTS. www.amabilis.comBest Regards,

Yes John! but there is no other way to do it. MSTS does not have any other animation hooks that you can use.Best Regards,

Feb-26-02, 01:13 PM (EST) 5. "RE: rotating fans" One other way that would be constant speed. You could make it a "windshield wiper" object and switch it on and off with the wiper switch. But it would look a bit funny if you also had wipers and ran them when the sun is shining. Ron

> Yeah! he could do that Ron, good point! I suppose you could then leave windscreen wipers off the model... most designers don't bother with them anyway. If you could actually see them work from inside the cab they'd be great! But that's another Kuju screw up! LOL Best Regards,

Feb-26-02, 03:18 PM (EST) 7. "RE: rotating fans" I actually thought about trying to get animated cab view windshield wipers working using the firebox door animation and trying to manipulate the ENG file so they would constantly open and close. Fortunately, my head explode first Ron Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
