On top of which, it's bad manners to do that in here!!!! If you want it that much why don't you build it yourself.Best Regards,

Feb-15-02, 11:13 AM (EST) 7. "RE: Loco PRoject" In regards to what Fozzy said, what is (oh boy, this could start an argument) the best design software out there now? I would love to try my hand at some designing. Also, how much is it?
Thanks

Feb-15-02, 11:18 AM (EST) 8. "RE: Loco PRoject" If you want a the best 3d for MSTS, them it is TSM at Abacus. Once you create the object, the export does everything for you.You will also need a paint program like Paint Shop Pro.David Klemm

OK Drew,
You have several options here... 1) 3D Studio Max, at $3000 (not the best option for a beginner)2) TSM (Train Sim Modeler) around $30 ish, Not the best piece of software for the job... Has a few bugs and patchy support.3) 3D Canvas. This is as far as I'm concerned the best solution. Has great support and superb tutorials, also has a trainsim export plugin that does all the work of getting your model into the sim. Works far better than TSM and is significantly more powerful. Have a look at http://www.amabilis.com for 3D Canvas, You'll find all the details there and all the tutorials are free to download and read up on. There is also a free version of the software so you can try it out, but the free version doesn't export to trainsim. The LP version at just a bit more than the cost of TSM does and the Pro version is superb. Very easy to learn... certainly compared to MAX! Hope that helps,Best Regards,
