Feb-13-02, 06:52 AM (EST) "Latest tram vehicles for La Perouse" Hi all,
I've been flat out making trams for La Perouse. Here are a few models recently completed:
This is an R1 class tram. It may look very similar to the R-class that has recently been released. The difference is the center door way. It only has one doorway on each side instead of two. It is a more recent design that than the R.
The weed burner. This was towed over grass track by a scrubber tram and burned the weeds from the line. If you havn't visited the website yet you will find it here:

Feb-13-02, 12:09 PM (EST) 4. "RE: Latest tram vehicles for La Perouse" Loved your first tram. It motivated me to get TSM and 3D Canvas and to begin learning them so that I could produce a Pacific Electric work motor. Your virtual view is really wonderful. What wire height are you using? I noticed that the pole shoe doesn't quite reach the the wire on the NEC. I'm thinking about turning out some side arm power poles in a generic style that could be used for either poles or pantograph wire. I notice that you've not hung wire yet and are using a "virtual overhead". I've got most of the old NMRA standard and suggested practices sheets and would be glad to scan them for anybody who really wanted to work on wire. What we need is both single wire and catenary and more "rustic" power poles. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-14-02, 06:07 AM (EST) 5. "RE: Latest tram vehicles for La Perouse" Is there any way to remove the catanery sections on the curves? This is the reason I have not added the wire to LaPerouse. Actually I have wire there but its height is set at 1000.
If there is a way to get the catanery sections removed, I will lower the wire to the height the sydney tramway system had its wire.regardsJoseph Spinella Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
