Feb-13-02, 06:46 AM (EST) "P42 .eng files" Hi everyone.I managed to create modified .eng files that will enable one to replace the Default Genesis and/or the Buzz Benz AMD103 with Jens-Chris P42s. This will allow them to show up on the point of default AI trains as well as be the driveable engine in those Empire Builder actvities found in the file library. I am contemplating uploading these, but first, I am going to ask for persmission from the creator(s). So pending their blessing you may soon have the opportunity to easily overwrite the default units. JensChris, chuckc, do you fellas have any objection to me doing this? LOLyou're saving me some work as I was going to make an installer and upgraded ENG files for J-C's Genesii like I did for the UP Turbine.... maybe even bundle in the latest P42 cab from Sam....
I sent J-C an e-mail asking him if I could late last week and so far no answer.....

Just resent from work but you already know the basic request!We will give you full credit for the visual model just like we did for the Turbine and repackage with updated ENG and CAB and SMS files and use an automated installer------Chuck Schneider---------

Feb-15-02, 08:08 AM (EST) 5. "RE: P42 .eng files" As I am not as accomplished at modifying the eng. files, so I took the simple (although time consuming!) route. I simply went through all the consists that used the default Genesis loco and replaced it with one of the new P42s. I also created the non-driveable engines to use as trailing units.
