Feb-06-02, 00:10 AM (EST) "A Plea to Jens-Chris and other loco designers.....We have a good selection of GE and EMD diesels already but we sorely need some Big Alco road units such as the "Century" series....." I speak not only for myself but a large group of trainsimmers that would love to see some big alcos....Suggestions would include the C630, C636, C628, C424 or 425, C430...etc.I realize your to-do list is probably rather long but let me make my case for these awesome loco's.1. They've been so far neglected (we only have alco PA's and RS2/3's which are first generation) 2. These locos would fit into any era as even today there are numerous shortlines still using them.(Giving us even more reskinning possibilites)3. The reskinning possibilities are very numerous and they would be prototypical on almost any route as most of the major class 1 railroads had some. Here is a probably incomplete list of the Roads that used them:Santa Fe, Burlington northern, Southern Pacific, Monon, Norfolk & Western, Pennsylvania RR, New-york central, Penncentral, Conrail, Lehigh Valley, Chicago & Northwestern and some were exported to mexico i believe and CP-rail and Canadian National of course had their version of these....and I know Ive left out quite a few.....!!!Here are some prototype pics of some 6 axle centuries

"RE: A Plea to Jens-Chris and other loco designers.....We have a good selection of GE and EMD diesels already but we sorely need some Big Alco road units such as the "Century" series....." If I knew how, believe me I would.....in fact I hope to eventually aquire TSM and start with some industrial objects such as Oil refinery structures, mill buildings etc....then eventually move on to engines, freight cars....however that will be along time in the future I think...In the meantime, my contributions to this community are in the form of activities which is one of the reasons I make various requests as my activities use add-ons to provide a prototypical experience and I will be featuring some of the reskins that have generously been done for me in them and will upload them to share as freeware of course.Any alcos designed will definetly be put to good use in freeware activities by myself..(and many others I would suspect!!!)Longhairedwizard Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I would be happy to contribute the C430 .eng file. Those Reading C430s look really sharp. The trucks are different on the Reading and NYC versions.
Thanks,
