Feb-02-02, 03:18 PM (EST) "NMBS HLR8262 'Napoli' available" At www.mstrainstop.com a new Belgian NMBS switcher is available.It's the HLR8262 'Napoli' together with the HLR8275 B-Unit (Calf). It's used for both switching and the transport of goods on the mainline.In the set we also have the original T44 Cabview set made by Mats Strid en the 5157 Sound set which is very close to the original sound.HLR8262 'Napoli':

It will also be available at Train-Sim in the next few days.

I downloaded the loco but alittle disapointed the engine sounds like a air plane and the throttle notches only go 13% 50% AND 100%power.the horn was pretty strange sounding. the cabview was something but all and all I thought it was a great little loco Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Glad you still like it.Concerning the sounds:
As stated in the Readme files we used the sound from our previous HLD5157 locomotive. So there is a little difference between real life sound and the one whe used. However it's very close according to our sources. The horn is standarized in Belgium. It's strange only for people who haven't heard such crazy sounds I hope more and more european loco's will use the real sounds instead of the default Dash9 and GP38 ones, so you will be surprised what noise they make Concerning the throttle:
That's as real as we could make it. The real one has only three notches.One of the members of the MSTrainstop team is a engineer driving the HLR82 in real life and he and the other Belgians which know this loco told me on more than one occasion that the performance of this loco is close to real life.André Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

The cab works great and the engine notches (in the V60) all the way up.Can't get the internal cab sounds though.At any rate, thanks for such a great Loco.
