Jan-31-02, 07:08 PM (EST) "Pagging JensChris" JensChris, would you think about making a steam engine for Train Simulator. Well if you want to I go a engine that you could make. If you made the Norfolk Western J 611 4-8-4 I'm sure a lot of people would injoy this loco. It might take me a while to get back to you but I will eventually get back to you with some drawings of the loco all around. Thanks, Adam

Jan-31-02, 09:59 PM (EST) 1. "RE: Pagging JensChris" Well, I had to chime in on this one. It would be wonderful to see the J produced by someone of your great talent. Hopefully one of these pics will interest you. This is an early picture. The pilot steps have not been recessed into the cast pilot and they haven't drilled cooling holes in the front skirt for the air pumps which are in front of the cylinders. Notice the double connecting rods between the 2nd and 3rd driver. These were replaced with one lighter rod when better material became available through new technology.
The Tennessean - could be run with TrainArtisan's cars...

Feb-02-02, 12:24 PM (EST) 6. "JensChris" I hate to be another person asking, "Can you do this?" but as you are making your GE models, would it be possible (if you haven't done so already) to follow John Peterson's example and make a couple of different variations for each model? I.E. one C40-8/C40-8W with ditchlights and one without, or one C40-8W with headlight in the top and one with headlight in the nose (obviously the positiong of the lights can be changed in the engine file, and I only mention this in case you are going to add 3D details for the headlight housings). I don't really know what's involved in making a 3D model, so I hope this request isn't too large. I do hope, however, that all "new" modellers will begin to exhibit the insite JP did when he designed his models. At any rate, thanks for working on these models!
