Jan-30-02, 06:47 PM (EST) "BN C30-7 virtual cabview" Has anyone noticed that when you're in the virtual cab view for this model that there is no cab roof.I can pan around in the cab and see the clouds float past. This only happens with the BN C30-7.All the other C30-7 model don't have this flaw.To the owner of this model is this something that I can fix or will there be a patch to this.Great model but I don't think the crew wants to get wet when it starts to rain,lol,lol...Keep up the good work. Jan-30-02, 09:39 PM (EST) 1. "RE: BN C30-7 virtual cabview" Hey Claude,
I downloaded the BN C30-7 from wolf63 so I could see what you were talking about. Wolf63 might be able to fill us in on how he converted the textures, but the only way I can imagine that you could get a transparent roof, would be to save the texture files (specifically c30-7-1) as a tga instead of a bmp, in which case the lack of an alpha layer would cause what you are seeing. So really, there is nothing wrong with the model just the way the textures were converted, which explains why the other models you downloaded don't do this. Very nice skin though, maybe Wolf63 will release another one!By the way, the virtual cab view proved to be a problem causing some sounds to not play and I posted updated .eng files here http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumID3/5949.html
that remove to cab view and restore the sounds (I think only the throttle and reverser "clicking" did not work).John D. Peterson

Jan-31-02, 09:31 AM (EST) 3. "RE: BN C30-7 virtual cabview" Ok claude, John it´s right, you must to leave the roof image as .tga instead of .bmp
the same problem is encountered in the model of SF C30-7
but in my model FNM C30-7 don´t because I leave the file in .tga
anyway good job. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
