Jan-23-02, 06:53 PM (EST) "Attention all add-on makers" One of the reasons why it's been so hard to log in to the train-sim.com file library lately has been Marco Martini (martini@galactica.it) of mstrain.org in Italy. He has been leeching files from Nels' site, just linking to the files from his own website. Whenever new files have been uploaded to train-sim.com Marco has added links directly to the files from his own web site in order to generate traffic so that he can make money off his web banners. And it's Marco's fault that you can't right click on the download links anymore. And now Marco has started to simply copy all files that are being uploaded to train-sim.com, for download from his own site, without asking anyone's permission...So I suggest that all the people who have uploaded files to train-sim.com lately contact the leeching low-life Marco Martini by email (martini@galactica.it) and demand that he remove their files from his web site. If he refuses simply tell him that you'll contact his Internet service provider, Aruba.it (technical@technorail.com), and demand they'll close him down because of breach of copyright.IMO he ought to pay for making it hard for the rest of us to download files from train-sim.com.... What a file leeching scumbag!! If he's chewing bandwidth that Nels is having to pay for that just stinks!! Especially if it blocks people from gaining access to the library here as a result.Anybody on here who's feeling like a bit of revenge on this dirtbag! please feel free to sign his e-mail address up to as many mailing lists and spam senders as possible!! Here's his address!!mailto:martini@galactica.itBest Regards,

"RE: Attention all add-on makers" LAST EDITED ON Jan-23-02 AT 09:52 PM (EST)Thanks Svante,I've just been through this scumbags pages and requested removal of no less than 6 files containing my copyright material. If he does not reply within 24 hours and confirm that he has removed it I will be writing to his service provider to have the whole site deleted and sending a mail to Microsoft as the rest of his site is entirely lifted from their web site.Best Regards,

Jan-24-02, 11:17 AM (EST) 7. "RE: Attention all add-on makers" Its stupid. If he wants to have a download site, at least have the files on your own server thingy (for want of a better word) Better still, instead of stealing stuff from here, why not get on and make his own? If I was to have a website (which I don't) at least the stuff would have been authorised by the maker to be put there and would have my own hand in the making of it. Jan-24-02, 11:24 PM (EST) 8. "RE: Attention all add-on makers" I think Nels has fixed the problem. If you try and right click on any of the internal pages (the ones past where you log in), a box pops up that says- "Sorry Marco, but right click is not allowed." I found this in the new files area when I accidentally right clicked.-Chris Trott

Jan-25-02, 02:01 AM (EST) 9. "RE: Attention all add-on makers" I was just wondering how disabling the right clicking on links in the file library stops him from stealing the files in the library?Nels, just think, if he is stealing your files, he must think that www.train-sim.com is the greatest MSTS site going, and that there is no way he can create a better site without cheating.kwk100 Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-26-02, 03:30 AM (EST) 10. "RE: Attention all add-on makers" I dont see what the "non-right clicking" thing dose either, all hes doing is copying the address and linking onto his site isnt he? But how dose that work because when I close the window any downloads i have qued wont work. I gues he found a loop hole through that.I never even knew the non right clicking was in affect, i right click all the stuff and "Open in new window" so i dont lose where i was before.Trevor Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
