Jan-23-02, 01:31 PM (EST) 1. "RE: SD files" Hi,See the Techdocs on CD1. How to write shape data files.docThe Bounding Box defines the box around and in the object that is "materialized".
Well it is hard to explain.
Without a bounding box an object is soft and an other object can go through it. When you have a derailment, you can see this effect when your goes through a wall or a house. Then it doesn't have a bounding box or not a correct one.
For cars and engines the bounding box must be somewhere outside the object otherwise other cars and engines can get too close to it. It must be not wide otherwise the car or engine is bounced back (It is nice to say this! ) and it is a bouncing box.The measurements are first the minimum box and then the maximum box. And the order is X-axis, Y-axis, Z-axis.
X-axis is the width (front), Y-axis the vertical, Z-axis the along side.Dick van den Hoven
