Jan-07-02, 07:49 PM (EST) "Paging Jens-Chris!!!!" Paging Jens-Chris! I downloaded your UP E8s! WOW! What a great job! I would like to ask if you would like to join me in the creation of a new F7A, FP7A and a FL9 for MSTS. I have some Blomberg truck textures, and original measurments of the original F7A, FP7A, and FL9. I would like to work on it too. I have TSM, and I want to make this thing *ahem* a good as the Trainartisan F7....if not better *GRIN*.....LOLKurt Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-07-02, 08:42 PM (EST) 1. "RE: Paging Jens-Chris!!!!" If anyone does an FL9, let me know and I would be happy to modify all my fake FL9 skins for the model. (New Haven, Metro-North, Conrail, PC, and the NYC paintjob). Too bad you can't just get the shape data for an F7 and modify (extend?) it -- probably would be WAY easier to create. Jan-07-02, 08:57 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Paging Jens-Chris!!!!" If the project gets the go-ahead, I bet he (I would too!) would be very glad to have your skins to use. I'll page you if the project starts highballing down the line. Anyway, I would rather make a new FL9 and F7s.....I want to compete with Cryrus..uh..Lum.Kurt Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-07-02, 09:03 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Paging Jens-Chris!!!!" Works for me...I've been wanting an FL9 since MSTS came out. I grew up close to the Harlem Division and even had the opportunity to ride in the cab into "the hole" many years ago...Is anyone working on single-level Bombardier cars I wonder...Michael Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-08-02, 09:00 PM (EST) 6. "RE: Paging Jens-Chris!!!!" An FL9 is just an F7 (Short E8) streched 7 feet with a truck with 3 axles in the back. A FP7A is an F7 streched 3 feet.If you want to go ahead with the F7, 'P7A, 'L9 project, shorten your E8, and send it to me, and I'll do some truck and size tweaking, and back to you for texturing. By the way, on your E8's headlight "tube", I would suggest to smooth the polygons. BTW2, Those boxes on the top of the E8 are "Winterization Hatches." I'm in no hurry to do it, I also want to get the TA F7s to look under the microscope before I would releas anything.Kurt Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
