And what .eng files are there in the folder of the loco?
MSTS thinks you have an gp38.e.eng but that seems quite strange to me.
Reinstall is far away, don't fear.
Checks your loco folders, and check if the eng files have the same name as the .sd and the .s file.
And check the eng file, this name comes back about 4 times, in the Wagon section, the name of the .s file, the name of the engine and the reference to the Wagon in the Engine section.
Eng files are Unicode, open them with Wordpad.Dick van den Hoven

Jan-06-02, 02:04 PM (EST) 2. "RE: LOCOMOTIVE PHYSICS UPDATE v3.0 / By Scott Borchardt " The reference in the .s and .sd files needs to match the .eng file name and the 4 reference locations with the file. If your .s file and .sd file are GEB367.s and GEB367.sd, then the .eng file would be GEB367.eng. Then paste GEB367 into the other 4 internal references.
Hope this helps,

I think it may be working now. Excite changed their email client, and migrated all the files. It has been out of order for several days, but may be back up now. Let me know if you still have a problem.
BobIt was still misbehaving for me, I sent a reply address.
