Jan-03-02, 09:17 PM (EST) "Colorado & Southern Repaint" Does anyone want to make a repaint of a Colorado & Southern narrow-gauge 2-6-0? I would really love to have a Colorado & Southern loco. for TS. If possible could one f those unique cinder catchers be put on it? Thanks!-Zach

I can probably do it for you. I just finished up my 4-4-0 Jupiter project so I'm free for the moment. Do you have reference pics? I would need them and whatever particular road number you would like to make it realistic. I'm a Colorado narrow gauge fan too, but most of my books and reference materials are about Rio Grande Southern. I would use John Fowlis's 2-6-0, the same one I used for my Rio Grande Southern 2--6-0, so it would be a similiar loco. As for the "cinder catcher", you must mean the Beartrap spark arrestor. It's definetley very Colorado-style, but I won't be able to duplicate it. Unfortunately, that would have to be part of the actual 3-d model; it can't be added just by re-texturing. Until someone builds an authentic Colorado-style engine (I'm waiting for a K-37 myself! ) the beartrap will have to wait. Anyway, if you've got ref material, I'll see what I can put together for you.GrizzlyMessage Areas - "Colorado & Southern Repaint" – image 1 Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-03-02, 11:09 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Colorado & Southern Repaint" Jupiter looks great! Will you upload it? If you do I would like to add it to my collection of 4-4-0's! I'm guessing you did the Eureka, the Eureka is great and has become my fav. loco. in my roster of 20 or so steamers! I can't upload any pictures onto my computer right now but try looking at the Denver Public Library Western Photo Collection on the web for a C&S loco. pic. There are a ton of pictures on the RGS there too!It is one of my favorite railroading sites. If you want I'll pick a loco. from that site and post the number and road name on it seeing I don't know how to paste pictures. Or if you choose you can pick one. I'll post again later on. Thanks!-Zach Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-03-02, 11:37 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Colorado & Southern Repaint" Try Colorado & Southern loco. #7 on the Denver Public Library Western Photo Collectio site and type in Colorado and Southern # 7. You may have to go through a couple of pages to find and try different types of searches on that site. Sorry for the trouble.
I tried to paste a picture on to this message but I don't think it went on. Sorry. -Zach Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-04-02, 08:45 AM (EST) 4. "RE: Colorado & Southern Repaint" I'll try to post a picture again. The picture is from the Denver Public Library Western Photo Collection so it is not mine. The train portrayed in the photo has a bear trap on the stack but just ignore that part. Thanks!-ZachMessage Areas - "Colorado & Southern Repaint" – image 2 Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
