Jan-01-02, 09:14 AM (EST) "DB V160" Hi Anybody interested if l load up the two V160's sat here rusting away ?, seems no commercial license deadline has been set for TSM, add to that copyright laws et al, no cab designers or sound designers, so l'm really not going to persue that thread anymore, also considering 4 Nohabs and a part finished BB12000 / CFL 3600.You get em as is, no further work carried out, no cabs, well not with gauges so no bitchin allowed .Best regardsMichaelPS started chopping for a Veranda but see that another thread has got some one else on that so will swap bogies over to GE BB+BB #31-53PPS if anybody needs UP turbine info look me up, been collecting info and drawings for 20 years on em to date , all welcomely given to serious designer. Jan-01-02, 01:31 PM (EST) 2. "RE: DB V160" Hi Tino,No l didnt load up the Laekks car wagon that just needs some textures and it will be fine, perhaps in the near future ? it will arrive. I shall not leave l shall just not make trains very much. Some may know that planes form the real back bone of my work and to be honest the biggest stumbling block is the stupid textures MSTS lumbered us with, l mean in this day and age were still in 16 bit !!, jeez talk about backward, this is like making planes for CFS1 or FS2000, uggg.Anyway my skill lies in the train externals not cabs or sounds, eng files are ok ish but l'm no expert and l really dont have the time to explore more, its trains or planes or planes and just the odd train externaly. l also looked at all the other commercial designers who are dedicated to just trains and whoa theres lots of them so common sense prevails, who needs another ?.So with 6 locos sitting here and no place to go l though l'd load em up as they are, externally there 98-100% done, perhaps when people can see my work in the flesh l may get approached to do some products, who knows ?, until then l'll just make what l want and post it up, dont hold your breath thought LOL.Best regardsMichael Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-02-02, 12:47 PM (EST) 5. "RE: DB V160" Hi Roni,Thanks for the images, problem is l need one facing forward from where the driver sits like the nohab one below, from this l can make the drivers view but no moving gauges l'm afraid, that will have to be down to some other kind soul.

Jan-02-02, 03:40 PM (EST) 7. "RE: DB V160" I'm sorry that i can't help you for the nohab cabs but I don't have 3dcanvas por or 3d studiomax. So it's a little difficult to make a cab like that no. Normally I take bits and pieces right and left and a cab together in that manner. For the sounds it's no problem,I can do that also the reskinning is't a problem. The class 52 of SNCB had 5 diffent liveries. I also reskinned your Fals of DSB into 4 SNCB versions,go take a look at them at www.mstrainstop.com Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-02-02, 07:21 PM (EST) 8. "RE: DB V160" Hi Sauna,Nice looking repaints of the Fals, very well done , once the SNCB 52 is finished l will probably do just two paint versions and post it up, this will allow more people like yourself to have more fun doing more skins .Best regardsMichael Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-03-02, 01:59 PM (EST) 9. "RE: DB V160" LAST EDITED ON Jan-03-02 AT 02:02 PM (EST)Thx Micheal and sorry again that I couldn't help you.
Didn't you say you're working on the CFL versions aswell of the Nohab? I know a lot of people that would be happy to see them come online. The CFL class 16 were originaly the SNCB class 5217 to 5220 that were renumbered to CFL 1601 to 1604 while construction was still going on. The CFL class 16 was a regular guest on the Luxembourg to Liege-Guillemins service before the CFL class 18 and SNCB class 55 took over. If you want more info or technical details, mail me and ask me, I have the original SNCB detailsheets on all the diesels, electrics and shunters. That's how we managed to get our 51 to work so realistic By the way I also have an idea for the v-160 to, in Belgium the class 215 or now renumberd 225 is running between Montzen and Hasselt or Germany and these are sisterloco's of the v-160 but just a little less powerful.Kind regards Diego Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
