Dec-31-01, 08:07 PM (EST) 1. "RE: H-8 and GP-20 progress" Again I hit the wrong key and posted a message of nothing but my signature . Anyways what I meant to say was, here is the latest pic of the Pennsy H8 consolidation project.
All of the detail has been added, it just needs a proper set of textures now. I am still learning how to do textures so it will probably be a little while before it is completely done. I will porbably finish this first, as I think diesel textures will be easier than steam textures.
This is my GP-20 project, currently it is only going to be made in GN(normal headlights, long hood forward) and WP (beer barrel headlights, short hood forward). These were the only two railroads to own high nose GP-20's. I am willing to make a low nose version if somebody is willing to texture the model, I will even go so far as to make railroad specific details if somebody will handle the textures for a particular model.

Dec-31-01, 11:52 PM (EST) 3. "RE: H-8 and GP-20 progress" Actually, BN had them in the charcoal and green as GN successor. They ran them the other way and I think refitted the fuel tanks on some.

Jan-01-02, 03:58 AM (EST) 4. "RE: H-8 and GP-20 progress" I didn't think about BN, being primarily into steam and first generation diesels that just completely slipped my mind. Well that's another version I could provide a model for if somebody was willing to provide the textures. Here is the latest pic.
I've got the radiator fans, dynamic brakes, stack, and steps in place, now I got to do the trucks. The voice of insanity in a seemingly normal world. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-01-02, 10:49 AM (EST) 5. "RE: H-8 and GP-20 progress" Howdy, I like the GP20. I have a question though, shouldn't their be a small 36 inch fan in front of the rear fan?? Just curious!!Keep it coming!!!Kelley Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-01-02, 02:06 PM (EST) 6. "RE: H-8 and GP-20 progress" Yes there should be, I haven't gotten that far yet. In the case of this particular unit there will be a winterization hatch over the 36" fan.The voice of insanity in a seemingly normal world. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
