Message Areas - "NR Model finally in game, now a NEW problem." – image 1Finally I reduced this thing to enough polys (just over 6750) and got it to load.Well, MSTS has decided to cause a new problem now. Loco crashes game in external view modes. Up comes the traditional Microsoft error: "We hope you weren't in the middle of something coz whatever is was it's gone now, so sucked in because you're not getting it back and we're not going to let you save it either".Why do we bother? Dec-28-01, 07:55 PM (EST) 4. "RE: NR Model finally in game, now a NEW problem." Got the NR to work. Deleted parts one at a time until it loaded without crashing. Had to rebuild the front pilot assembly. Now just a couple more detailing parts and on to the textures. It will be textured in National Rail Standard, TrailerRail, Steelink and Sealink Liveries. A custom cabview is also hopefully in the works, photos being taken soon.Would like to know how to do sounds since these things sound quite different from the MSTS Dash 9. Might also think about doing a 90 class next if all goes well.Should have ordered the TSM Commercial pack, then I 'possibly' could have eventually put together and Australian Add on Pack.I'm still very much a believer in the total polygon limit in MSTS but have learnt from this project how to refine further models as they are built. "RE: NR Model finally in game, now a NEW problem." can i be a pain and ask:1) will the 'east (1-61 inc 121)' be diferent to the 'west (62-120)?2) will you paint them in NR logo's, or wait until it's sold, and do them in that?love your work. all we need now is an aussie track!!!!!!!!

Dec-29-01, 01:46 AM (EST) 7. "RE: NR Model finally in game, now a NEW problem." I had forgotten about the differences between the two manufacturers. I will endeavour to find my book and read up on the differences and incorporate them into the model. They will be textured in National Rail Liveries regardless of what happens. If the sale of NRC comes about, then I'll probably do the new liveries too.Lets get the aussie market onto the stage. Think I'll do the mighty 90 class next and maybe some bat wing coal wagons too.Any australians with detailed drawings of this rollingstock, please contact me. The NR was created from plans, photos and an HO scale model.

Dec-29-01, 03:25 AM (EST) 8. "RE: NR Model finally in game, now a NEW problem." Problems, problems, problems. Can pretty much forget about the texturing now. Corel simply corrupts images that are cut and pasted and Paint shop pro just can't make a job simple. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
