Dec-27-01, 05:23 PM (EST) "Help: problem with car design" I'm just starting out creating cars and locomotives for MSTS.I've created a couple of railcars using 3DS and exporting to MSTS. The railcars have the standard object hierarchy - main object, with bogies as children, with wheels as subchildren.Everything works okay, but the railcars are rendered flat on the ground - the bogies are either being rendered underground, or not at all. Has anyone seen this? I've set the pivot point to the right spot (as far as I believe). Also, a somewhat unrelated question: is it true that wagons/locos in 3DS have to be created in 1:40 scale? I noticed that the Dash 9 3DS file that comes with MSTS is in this scale (I set my file to units of millimetres, and imported the .3DS without scaling, and all the units came out 1/40th of what the published specs for a Dash 9 suggest). The modelling guidelines simply state that you need to use units of metres. Thanks,
