Dec-27-01, 02:33 PM (EST) "SW1500 cabview..anyone else had this look?" Hi All, Was running the wonderful SW1500, and I noticed something wierd about the cabview that was not on the S4.
these are both the right and left views. I am curious how I (or someone) could help "shift" the right to the left, and the left to the right to see the tracks. Does anyone else have this problem as well? I LOVE the SW1500!! It captures the lines really well!!! (and I worked and rode the MP15's so I have some experience with these.)I hope to get the views right unless it is my computer!!Thanks!!!Kelley Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-27-01, 03:23 PM (EST) 1. "RE: SW1500 cabview..anyone else had this look?" HiThat is strange. The Sw1500 does not give as clear a view of the track ahead as the Alco S4, but you should see one rail and the ties and ballast. Do you have the same view on a clear day with no snow? Is it the same when looking out the rear of the cab (right view) how is the headout view? The placement of the view and the angle of that that view are provided in the .CVF file in the cabview folder. The values there are correct. They were used to make the screen captures that I used to make the Cab views.

Dec-28-01, 08:43 AM (EST) 3. "RE: SW1500 cabview..anyone else had this look?" This is a wonderful locomotive but I did notice something else that the creator might want to take another look at. The hood on the driver's side seems to not be plumb but to slant inward at the bottom or walkway, just forward of the cab. Otherwise, this is a terrific addition to the MSTS fleet in my opinion. Might we see a patch for this one shape correction? It's too good of a locomotive to leave this one error. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-28-01, 10:55 AM (EST) 6. "RE: SW1500 cabview..anyone else had this look?" HiAny error on one side of the hood is also on the other as I just mirrored the view. The view was obtained by taking screen shots from the “passenger view”. The visual effect that you see is probably from the tapered section of hood just ahead of the cab. The hood tapers in on the sides and down on the top. The bug that bothers ME is that there is no exhaust coming out of the stacks in the Cab view.
If you guys think a change is in order I’m happy to try.Mark Toland Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Contact me by e-mail so that i can send you a modified file to try. My address is in the readme file for SW1500.zipSo far no one has contacted me with any problems like this.
