Dec-26-01, 03:19 PM (EST) "Funny problem with polycount" Im currently improving one of my models to MSTS. Im adding some handgrips in the front and the back of the locomotive. I have tested the loc before i've added them and there it worked, then when the grips are added i cant load the loco in MSTS.
The loco do only have a poly count at 2198 with grips in one of the ends. Why does it give problem when I add more details ?? I dont understand it. Someone know how ??Thomas H.

"RE: Funny problem with polycount" Thomas, see my reply to Beadyboy's post on the subject.I've experienced the same problem in the past, the answer is to reduce the complexity and remove excess (hidden) polys and possibly link the parts to the main object. The trap is conv3ds will happily do it's stuff with no error messages, but the sim refuses to accept the model.Don't let the computer WIN! Dec-27-01, 03:03 AM (EST) 2. "RE: Funny problem with polycount" What do i have to call the objects if i seperate them ??? CAR CAR1 and CAR2 ???I have reduced the polycount now, so it is lass than 2100, and it works. You also wrote that if you will make round shapes, then you have to use a few polys and then smoothing groups, but I dont have the skills to do that But im a little proud, yesterday i managed how to put more than one skin at the same model, further i could'nt find out how to do that too, but with a little help from the help files i find out Thomas H.
