Dec-19-01, 04:47 AM (EST) 2. "RE: Blue/.Yellow Bonnet Locomotives" If I recall correctly your repaints were just slight modifications of someone else's textures, with not more than one color changed (correct me if I'm wrong). I hope you've asked for the permission of the person who's textures you're using before uploading.... Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-19-01, 08:20 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Blue/.Yellow Bonnet Locomotives" LAST EDITED ON Dec-19-01 AT 08:24 PM (EST)nope no pics. I used something known as Lpro (kinda a light PSP) to do the original JPG to bmp conversions, can't afford to redl now. As for the skin modifications; I uploaded them once but got lost somewhere in the db during the change and such. However, they were based on another skin, not modifications of it. That is to say, I rebuilt most of the skin, having to reposition several vents, rework the colours into a more accurate representation of the Santa Fe colours of the day. (The yellow bonnet was not actually a true yellow...more of a yellow orange when viewed at a close distance) *I wonder if this was something Santa Fe did regularly*Furthermore, I relettered the locomotive, and proceded to renumber it and am currently working with Starlight Critter Werks on producing a high detail model that features Photorealistic skin textures.Given all that I've done, as the original skinner commented to me: I've made a new skin, not reworked another one. However, with the current issues of T-Trains, Yes, I can understand the sentiment. That said, I'm having to rework the files. I planned to release two locos seperately, but my computer is running slow; that having been said, I'm considering releasing the locomotive skins themselves first.
