Dec-18-01, 02:51 AM (EST) 2. "RE: MAGLEV READY FOR DOWNOAD" probably a stupid question, but will it run on regular track with the 2 iron rails and wooden ties? i know the real one cant but will this MSTS one do it? since i do not have that special magnetic levitation trackage.

Dec-18-01, 04:07 AM (EST) 3. "RE: MAGLEV READY FOR DOWNOAD" You can download the guideway from the train sim files section. It's called guideway.zip and is in the 'misc' section. The train will run on normal rails but it will be about 12 feet up in the air.I've uploaded the train now, should be available in a day or two. Dec-18-01, 07:00 PM (EST) 6. "RE: MAGLEV READY FOR DOWNOAD" The polygons making the front of the train were selected and 'split' to form a separate part. Still, because of it's shape, tsm would only see the top half of this shape as the top, or the bottom half as the front. The part had it's axis moved to the very front edge, the part was then rotated 45 degrees forward, like an open hatch, and this proved sucessful for tsm to see the whole part as the front. Windows were then applied and the part was rotated back in place.Presto! This method came from the updated help files for TSM.Now to polish up the other textures.I hope to see some activities with this thing racing a TGV off the lights! hehe Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

>hehe That would be cool... a route with "high speed" rail tracks and a maglev track next to each other (and twisting around each other)...And then something like the Train Artisan's race diesel/steam head 2 head...Josh /=\ Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
