Dec-07-01, 10:55 PM (EST) 7. "RE: Survey. What Music Do Listen To While You Drive In TS" The railroading lion tends not to listen to anything but the sounds coming from MSTS, routed thru the stereo and the "Surround Sound" decoder with the volume turned up. :=3I mean, that's why they included the sounds, right? And as a qualified engineer, I know you're not allowed to listen to anything other than the RR radio and the "chatter" of fellow employees. Now that would be an interesting sound file to include; radio "traffic". :=3

>I tend to agree with LionKing.. but, hey! Why Not? I have some old railroad songs that would be appropriate:- Old 45 rpm EP album of Hank Snow singing railroad songs.. - CD wif Willie Nelson singing "City of New Orleans" ::sniff:: I love that!Lessee... hmmm.. Gee, I'll have to dig through the collection!

>I love that! <snip>I'll agree that railroad songs would be nice, but I have to disagree withh your choice on the singer for City of New Orleans. It is my humble opinion that Arlo Guthrie does a much better rendition, and, IIRC, he was the first to sing itTo keep this somewhat RR related, if you listen to the song, whoever wrote it knew the schedule and route of the CoNO. :=3I know this is the loco design area, but anyone up to do the IC for the CoNO? The Lake Pontchartrain bridge would be awesome. :=3
