Apr-30-02, 12:49 PM (EDT) "Dynamic track" OK - this may be really stupid, but I'm trying to learn...
What is dynamic track?
How does it differ from regular track?
(In Route Editor it seems to have green markers in it)
And..
Why do routes built with Xtracks cause weird derailments on routes built without it?

May-01-02, 04:14 PM (EDT) 3. "RE: Dynamic track" Well said loosecannon. Also, try posting this in the route forum. The main differnce is that you alter the curvature and length of the track, instead of using ready - made track.Phil

Dynamic track can be extremely usefull in some situations, and extremely aggravating in all situations (if you let it be). One good way to get famialar with dynamic track is to create a test route in RGE (say 1 to 4 tiles) and just start playing around with it. That way, if the dynamic track screws up (which has been known to happen), you don't lose anything but the test route.
Oh yea! Read Jim's tips at the link above.

May-01-02, 05:16 PM (EDT) 5. "RE: Dynamic track" Thanks guys -
Going to do more research.
(I did do a search of this forum for "dynamic track", and read all the previous posts. I just didn't think to try the same procedure in the "Routes" forum. Dohhh!) Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
