Apr-20-02, 01:17 AM (EST) 1. "RE: New Seattle To Tacoma,WA Route Questions. " You should make it 2 mains andhave the BNSF era. The BNSF is puting sidings in North and South of Aurburn. They are also puting new crossovers by Sumner and Puyallup. Also i could maybe help with if you got the DEM i could help because i live in Puyallup.cnw8717 Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Apr-20-02, 07:16 AM (EST) 3. "RE: New Seattle To Tacoma,WA Route Questions. " It's probably too much to wish for, but there was a whole lot more varieity in the early 50's! Northern Pacific, Great Northern, Milwaukee, Union Pacific and Pacific Coast (part way). You could see lots of steam, 1st generation diesels, Milwaukees electrics and rail to barge facility in Tacoma, and ancient equipment on the Pacific Coast, a small coal hauler.Steve Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Apr-21-02, 11:16 AM (EST) 5. "RE: New Seattle To Tacoma,WA Route Questions. " I hope that you make it as old as possible. There were more railroad companies long ago, and also it would be more unique if it were some 50 years ago. Up-to-date routes are a dime a dozen (well, a bit more valuable than that, but the old routes ARE more sought after, relatively.)

Apr-22-02, 08:35 AM (EST) 6. "Aerial photos of WA shoreline in color" This is a great site, with photos of just about the entire shoreline of Washington. Shows lots of scenery details better then Terraserver by far, being in color and off to the side. The photo I copied here is just north of Seattle at Mukilteo, but this will be useful anywhere the RR follows Puget Sound.
http://www.ecy.wa.gov/apps/shorephotos/index.htmlThis should help on your route, especially around Tacoma. It may even work for some terrtex images.Steve Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
