Apr-13-02, 03:41 PM (EST) "Problems Loading" I'm tearing out what little of my hair remains. Can anyone help? Each time I try to load MTS it fails. . installed latest video drivers
. installed latest Directx (8.1)
. reinstalled MTS via custom option and selected all routesAt every stage I've used the Change Video Driver option in Troubleshooter.I can't think of anything else and I'd appreciate your help.My system is:Athlon 1.2GHz
128Mb DDR RAM
40Gb hard drive (loads of space)
NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400 graphics card
Soundblaster Live! 1024 player sound card. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

The error emu10klf(01) I am pretty sure relates to the SoundBlaster card drivers. Have you checked to see that they are up to date?PaulS Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Apr-13-02, 05:00 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Problems Loading" I've checked the emu10k1f file and the other soundcard drivers. They're all the latest versions.Forgot to mention in my first message that when I go into the Change Video Drivers option in Troubleshooter the only option on the drop-down list is "Direct3D Primary Hardware". I guess I should get the NVIDIA drivers as well but they're not there. Is this normal or another clue? Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Apr-13-02, 05:38 PM (EST) 4. "RE: Problems Loading" If you are not seeing the driver then you should download the latest NVIDIA driver for your board and version of windows and do a reinstall of the drivers. You might have to do a reinstall of DirectX and the monitor.Richard Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Apr-13-02, 06:25 PM (EST) 5. "RE: Problems Loading" I got the latest nvidia & 3Dfx drivers, and with every computer and all the different graphic cards it says direct3D primary driver. It don't identify any of the GEFORCE or VOODOO cards I have by name, so that's normal.
If the problem is with the sound card (probably) you may want to try finding DXdiag (if there's no shortcut, open explorer and go to \Windows\System\, find DXDIAG.EXE and double click on it), and disable sound acceleration. There's a directsound test & troubleshooter in there too. Microsoft games are notorious for needing to have everything just so, and this one is more intolerant than most. Welcome to the beta testing team. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
