Great looking passanger cars you have there.I was wondering how many polys the cars have?The reason I ask this is I was wondering if you wanted to add a few passangers to the seats of that baby? I could make a couple passangers in TSM texture them and give you the files for you to add them to the cars if you want? My engineer and my brakeman have around 800 polys a piece after conversion.Here is a SW1200 I modeled. It is my first locomotive that I have totally completed. I know the trucks don't look to realistic and the interior color is wrong nothing a little paint can't cover. also CP rails SW1200 have the number board where the front head light is but I think I have way to many polys for a locomotive this size with such a basic shape to it. I counted 6166 polys!! on this sucker, that just spells amature. I bet ya I am just a couple 100 polys shy of Jens chris's Big Boy in the amount of polys I used. I tried to eliminate as many polys as possible but I still end up with lots. I think I know why to, it's because I used 6 or even 8 sides to my railings when I should of used 4 sides and use poly smoothing to make them round. I read this on a post somewhere but I guess it didn't sink in! lol Let this be a lesson folks don't use to many polys than you have too. I guess if I wanted to I could redo the all the railings. But I will leave that for another day! The yard is full and there is alot of switching to be done.
I am alittle weary about putting on the Corperate logo or the old multimark on the side of my switcher because I dont't want to get into any trouble over logos and stuff even if It's freeware and I am not charging any money for my work. I am just worried about the whole permission thing because I have so much respect for CP rail I don't want them to think I am stealing from them by using there logos.Well the yard is packed and it's time to sort out this dogs breakfeast that they call a train! Nah.. generic 50's orchestral stuff.. And lest we forget, these are Gaetan's cars, reskinned... (I really can't give him enough credit...)I've got some more interior adjustments to do, notably to the carpets and seat edges, and then I have to align the CP wordmark just right.. I think I finally got the dome alphas right..
I'll upload these as they happen..cheers
